As for other seasonal ideas:

Tie Spring to the explosive growth of databases, and hence the need for efficient querying of same.

(US-centric) July 4th to the "tax" burden imposed by row-based systems

Or July 4th/Fireworks/explosive growth

Summer/beach/ease of administration

Hi Curt,
Thanks for the mention; we like the new Art Review feature on DBMS2.com—I’ve always said you can't go anywhere else for better-rounded coverage of the data management market! :-)

Well, if our home page design is getting press coverage, and it isn't offending anyone (except for maybe web-savvy turkeys in this case), it can't be that bad! Maybe we'll try to be less ambiguous (as I think we were on Halloween), but just as fun, the next time we publish a seasonal/commerative banner.

Speaking of which, we're open to seasonal banner ideas and suggestions from the public. Feel free to throw some out on this thread (ok Curt)? and/or email ideas to info@vertica.com. If we use your suggestion, we'll give you a free iPod touch.
