Sybase has been a number of demos and presentations lately showing off RAP including the Aleri CEP engine. What has been really cool is to see a usable visual analytics front end associated with the platform - huge improvement in usability and value. They're focusing on financial services now but I can see how a very similar package will have a lot of applications in telco, network monitoring, etc.
